• Usage information, including lesson progress, unlocked characters, subscription state, and purchase-related entitlement status.
• Audio recordings and speech-related data that you submit for pronunciation analysis, feedback, or lesson interaction.
• Technical information such as device identifiers, app version, language settings, crash data, and diagnostic logs.
• Customer support or review communication that you voluntarily send to us.

2. How We Use Information

• Provide speaking practice, accent feedback, lesson progress, and AI character interactions.
• Verify purchases, restore paid entitlements, and manage subscriptions and consumable balances.
• Maintain account security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot service issues.
• Improve lesson quality, system stability, model prompts, and user experience.
• Respond to user inquiries and fulfill legal or regulatory obligations.

3. Audio and Speech Data

When you use pronunciation or conversation features, the app may process your audio recordings and transcriptions to generate scoring, feedback, speech synthesis, translations, and lesson responses. Depending on the feature, this may also include the selected lesson text, instructor selection, language setting, and session identifiers required to operate the feature. We use this information only to operate and improve the service.

4. Payments and In-App Purchases

Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not store your full payment card details. We may receive purchase receipts, subscription status, and transaction metadata needed to verify purchases and deliver in-app entitlements.

5. Sharing of Information

We may share limited information with service providers that support our operations, such as:

• Authentication providers
• Cloud hosting and database infrastructure providers
• Speech processing, text generation, and audio synthesis providers
• Analytics, logging, and customer support tools

For AI speaking features, we currently use the following third-party providers:

• xAI (Grok) to generate AI responses and translations from lesson context and speech transcriptions.
• ElevenLabs to synthesize spoken audio from generated lesson text and feedback text.
• DashScope by Alibaba Cloud to transcribe user speech audio for conversation and lesson processing.
• iFlytek to score pronunciation from user speech audio for speaking feedback.

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights, or during a merger, acquisition, or corporate restructuring.

We require service providers that process this information for us to support the service and to provide protections appropriate to the data they handle.

6. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain operational records.

7. Your Choices

• You can stop using the microphone-based features by denying microphone access in iOS settings.
• You can decline or withdraw the in-app AI data sharing consent, which disables AI speaking features until consent is granted again.
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple App Store account settings.
• You can request account-related support by contacting us.

8. Children

RPG English is not directed to children under the age required by applicable law in your region. If you believe a child has provided us personal information without authorization, contact us and we will review the request.

9. International Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. By using the service, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in these jurisdictions.
